How long to compress a file?

Trying to compress a pdf. Finally found it in document cloud, trying to view it says can't view while being compressed. It's been going on for days. How long does it take to compress?

That depends how big is the file to start with? Also depends on the settings althought days seems a bit long.

Can you give bit more info/ sample doc about your workflow so that we can try and help?
