I have 2 pdf drawings, and I cannot find a solution for having a clear image about the difference. Using compare files, i will see many areas as being affected (and will be big rectangles)...using Backround or Layers, I am not able to see clear the differences while both files are black.
Thanks

Hi there
Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.
You can quickly pinpoint changes by comparing two versions of a PDF file. Acrobat analyzes the files and presents a report detailing differences between the documents.

Hi Amal
Thanks but it not helps too much. I do not have a lot of text and the different areas are not highlighted very good...sometimes I am getting a rectangle as big as the all drawing.

Hi there
Is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check. If the file is stored on a shared network/drive please download it to your computer locally and then try again.

If I understand correctly, you have two black pdf drawings and you want to compare them for differences? You can use an Acrobat preflight profile to map black to a different color. First use the output preview tool to determine the exact color you want to change, then go to Tools> Print production> Preflight> Fixups, find the preflight "Map color with specified color values", duplicate it from the Options fly-out menu, edit the new preflight and add the source color (black) and destination color, click on Fix. Place both pdfs into InDesign and set the top pdf to multiply (transparency effect), the differences should be visible.
