I am using Acrobat Pro DC to create a fillable form. I mainly use the "Adobe Ming Std Light" font. My PDF file size is very large, around 4.2MB. I have tried optimizing the PDF, but the file size remains the same.
When I check "Audit space usage" in the "PDF Optimizer," it shows that the font size is 4.2M. However, in the "Fonts" section of the "PDF Optimizer," there are no embedded fonts.
I've refreshed the page several times but curiously the "reply" button remains grayed out and unusable, so I took the liberty of editing your message to reply:
To be used in form fields, a font must be embedded in its entirety and not compressed in the PDF.
The only solution would be to use one of the 14 standard fonts, but I don't know if Chinese is supported.

If your file does not contain pictures, and you do not embed the font, I fear that the PDF file is at its best size. All other data can only be compressed losslessly, and the algorithms to compress are at their optimum.
