How to copy highlighted text from Acrobat?

New Here ,
Nov 21, 2018 Nov 21, 2018

Hello, I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and I have highlighted a ton of things in my document.

I have highlighted 221 pieces of text, and I was wondering how to copy just the text I have highlighted so I can paste it in a Word document.

I have tried many methods, but they have all failed. Help please?

Also, I hope this is the correct community.

Did you enable the option to copy the selected text into the highlight before adding them?

Then you can use the Comments Summary command, either from the Print dialog or via the Options button under the Comments List panel.

I tried this, but I only get pages upon pages of this type of thing:

"Author: Thomas      Subject: Highlight     Date: 11/21/2018 10:03:31 AM"

Then that option is probably not enabled after all... Do you see the text in the Comments List panel?

Maybe you changed it after you created the comments? It doesn't work retroactively...

At this point what you can do is use a script to retroactively copy the text back into the comments (like this paid-for one I've developed: Custom-made Adobe Scripts: Acrobat -- Retroactively Copy Highlighted Text into Comments ), or delete all the comments and re-recreate them, this one with the texts in them.
