Hey,
I have a website  where i want to add PDF File? How can I create a PDF file with embedded clickable links and ensure they remain functional once uploaded to a WordPress page? I’m looking to understand the tools or software I can use to add clickable links to my PDF, such as Adobe Acrobat, Canva, or any free alternatives, and what the best practices are for embedding these hyperlinks. Additionally, I need guidance on how to upload the PDF to my WordPress website properly, ensuring that the links are still functional for users when they view or download the file. I would also like to know the most effective way to test the clickable links once the PDF is uploaded to confirm everything works as intended. Finally, I’m curious if clickable PDFs have any impact on user experience or SEO within WordPress, and if there are any tips to optimize this process. A detailed step-by-step guide or explanation would be really helpful for me to navigate this task!

  • Choose Tools › Edit PDF › Link › Add or Edit. The first option is to insert a web- or document link.
  • Draw a rectangle to enclose the area you want to be clickable
  • After that you can set the link appearance
  • The next step is to set your web or document destination

A detailed description can also be found on this Adobe-website: https://www.adobe.com/acrobat/resources/how-to-add-hyperlink-to-pdf.html

There are many ways on how to include a PDF to a website. Either thourgh a clickable link, which will open the PDF or via plugins to embed it. This might impact the accessibility of the links in the PDF depending on how the plugins work.

To test your links, first test it right in Acrobat after you added them and then upload it to your wordpress page and create a link on your website to this PDF. I hope that helps.
