How to create a Table of Contents in Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro

Hi, I would like to learn how to generate a table of contents in Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro that can be regenerated when pages are added or removed from the pdf.

Is there a way to add page numbering in Adobe on content pages but not on pages such as table of contents page, document title page and chapter title pages?

I'm also trying to find a tutorial on how to use Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro to create a document with a TOC, content pages and imported pdf documents.

There's no built-in command in Acrobat to do it, but you can achieve it with a script, like this (paid-for) tool I've developed:

Custom-made Adobe Scripts: Acrobat -- Create Table Of Contents (TOC) in a PDF file from Bookmarks

It won't update automatically if you add or remove pages, though. You'll need to delete the TOC pages and then re-run it.
