How to Deselect "Use Local Fonts" to avoid Infinite Loop of Notepad Errors

New Here ,
Jul 25, 2024 Jul 25, 2024

When Printing to PDF, Adobe started creating infinite loops of Notepads showing errors.  After much research and input from IT staff, it was determined that the workaround is to deselect "Rely on system fonts only: do not use document fonts" in the Print Options EVERYTIME we print.  As this can be cumbersome, there is time wasted with huge loops of Notepads whenever this is missed or forgotten.  I spent this morning looking for permanent way to deselect this feature and came across article in "Help" stating to go into Preferences, then Page Display, then deselecting "Use Local Fonts" only to find this was not available in my Adobe.  Please show me a permanent way to deselect this feature as it is a major headache and causes delays in daily production.

Hi @Mikhail388084286fr2

Sorry for the delay in response.
Regarding printing via PDF Printer, the preference on the Printer properties window differs from the preference you refer to in the screenshot. The screenshot preference is to tell Acrobat what to do with fonts when viewing the file.

Here is the fix you are looking for: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/error--when-you-create-a-postscript-file-you-must-rely-on-system..... Let me know how it works at your end. This fix is for the PDF Printer property: "Rely on system fonts only; do not use document fonts."
