How to exclude Advanced Metadata from search results when creating a full text index with catalog

I am generating a full text index with catalog using Adobe Acrobat XI Pro. I want to exclude the Advanced Metadata from my search results, but I still want to include Description Metadata in the search results. I do not want to maintain each PDF file to delete the advanced metadata (some metadata I was able to delete and some I was not able - so I had mixed results.) When generating the index, I noticed there is an Options window where I can list words to exclude, but I think it will be very time consuming (and not straight-forward) to list all of the advanced metadata for the 20+ PDF files included in the index.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Suz,
Sorry for the delay in response to your query.
As per the description above you want to exclude the Advanced Metadata from your PDF search results, but still, want to include Description Metadata in the search results. Is that correct?
You can find the details of Acrobat Catalogue basic functionality on https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/creating-pdf-indexes.html
Generally, the metadata listed in the Description tab of PDF is actually included in the XML of the Advanced metadata.
Therefore, deleting the metadata content that is displayed in the Advanced tab actually deletes the entries in the Description tab, too.
You may try to edit or delete the existing metadata via Acrobat JavaScript.
For this, you may refer to http://help.adobe.com/en_US/acrobat/acrobat_dc_sdk/2015/HTMLHelp/#t=Acro12_MasterBook%2FJS_API_AcroJ...
You may also refer to http://www.adobe.com/devnet/xmp.html
Please share the exact steps performed and the results.
Regards,
Anand Sri.

Hello AnandSri-
Thank you for the response. Yes, I want to exclude the Advanced Metadata but include the Description Metadata.
I tried to access links #2 and #3 in your response, but I am redirected to the Adobe Community Welcome page (https://forums.adobe.com/welcome). I am logged into the Adobe Forum when I select the links.
Please advise.

Hi Suz,
I apologize for the inconvenience caused.
Please try the links: Adobe - XMP Developer Center | Adobe Developer Connection and Acrobat DC SDK Documentation
If possible, try them on a different browser.
Let us know how it goes.
Regards,
Anand Sri.

Thank you for the new links. Since the links go to a high-level page, can you please direct me to a specific page?
For example, the Acrobat DC SDK Documentation link brings me to the introductory topic. Which topic do I need to review? I searched "delete metadata" and "acrobat javascript" (using terminology from your first post) and I'm not receiving results aligned with deleting metadata with javascript.
Thank you.
