How to format text when using add text tool in new Acrobat UI?

With the latest update to Adobe Pro I can't find how to format the text when using add text tool. Before, you could easily italicize or bold text you added, but now I only see the below options for changing the font, size, and color of the added text.

Hi @Ruth31147970fmtd,

This is because when you select adding text from the non-floating floating tools set, you'll have limited access to functionality.

Click on the "Edit" option on the upper left  side of the window

Then click on #1, the Add "Text" seen in the lower half below, and then look at the top of that region for #2 and you'll find all of the customizing tools you'll need.

Thank you for your reply but this work around doesn't really solve my problem. First, by going to the Edit menu instead of the add text shortcut, it converts the page to readable text, which is time consuming when making add text labels on dozens or hundreds of pages in a document. Second, it's no longer possible to paste text into an add text addition which means a signifcant amount of retyping for me. Third, if you create an add text label on the document with the shortcut, you can't change the formatting through the Edit tool so you are stuck with whatever you did first.

Hopefully other users have found another workaround they can post or maybe adobe will see this and realize their recent "upgrades" have actually resulted in a loss of key functionality for some users.

You can revert to the "old" Acrobat UI, since the new UI is a nightmare.

Thank you for this idea! I will look up how to do this. The new updates are
truly a giant step backwards for my work.
