Hi, all of a suddent there are all of the messages when I open Acrobat Pro and they take up half the Home page screen. I don't WANT OR NEED ANY OF THEM. How do I get this stuff that is irrevelant OFF and stay off. If I want to go look for that, I'm sure I can find it.
I don't appreciate any of this being shoved at me without me turning it on.
HELP! thank you, Vicci

Hi,
You can try the following:
1. Go to preferences > Generative AI
2. Uncheck the "Show AI video cards" option.
3. Relaunch Acrobat.
Let me know if this helps.

Sandeep Grover

Sandeep, I see no item titled Generative AI in the Adobe Acrobat preferences. Can you provide more details or a screenshot?

I do not have that option in Prefrences. I just installed the application last week.

Interesting... Do you use the full Adobe Creative Cloud suite (which I have) or just Adobe Acrobat? I know Adobe recently came out with the latest version of CC. I can't imagine the Generative AI would not be turned on by default. Not sure if a reinstall would resolve the issue or not. Maybe another question for Sandeep.
I remember the good ole days when you had to turn on an option IF you wanted it versus these days where they turn on all these extra "options" because they think it's good for you when in fact for most people it just becomes an irritant.

You may be missing some important updates or just optional updates. If that would be the case, go ahead and manually check for your Acrobat updates to bring it to its current version.
After the updates are complete, check again as indicated by @sangrover and @Western Mailers

In your screenshot, it shows the Preferences as they appear when using the Acrobat Classic User Interface (UI).
You must enable the New Acrobat UI, followed by a restart. When you re-launch the New Acrobat, the Generative AI features will appear listed under the Preferences menu (as shown in @Western Mailers screenshot).
You can proceed and disable it there, and revert to the Acrobat Classic UI (if desired).

I really hate this. I don't need it. I find here how to remove this stupid "AI thing" but I still can't get rid of "recommended tools".

Same here. I'm basically having to rebuild all my preferences and structure when updating. Makes me want to NOT update. What is this, 1999?.
