How to permanently disable track changes in Acrobat DC?

Hello,
I have a form that I have to complete multiple times with different information. There is a part of the form that will remain the same throughout all versions. I completed the original version and I wanted to change the comments section of the form and when I try to delete the comments it does it showing the changes with red strike through lines through the text I attempted to delete. I need to just simply delete the changed text without acrobat recording the changes at all. I have tried searching on here and NONE of the information discusses disabling this feature and the same goes for when I search using Google.
Please, can anyone help me to turn this feature off?
Sincerely,
Alisa

Acrobat doesn't have a Track Changes function at all. What you're describing is a comment, which you've added to the file. If you want to actually edit the contents of the file you need to use the Edit Text & Images tool. However, that is a bad idea, as PDF files were never meant to be edited in such a way. The real solution is to go back to the original file, make the changes there, and then create a new PDF file.

Hello,
I didn't think Acrobat DC had a tracked changes feature...thank you for clearing up that bit of my confusion and identifying what I was seeing. Is there a way to turn comments off?
As for the original file, well that is kind of difficult. The form I am working with is a privacy consent form from one of my congressional senators from my state. The info that needs to stay the same is my contact information and the part that is variable is the portion where I have to explain my issues that I am seeking assistance for. The congressman's office requires one form per issue. I therefore only have the file that is sent out not the actual source file.
Sincerely,
Alisa

You can hide or delete all the comments via the Comments List panel, when you open the Comment pane on the right.
I don't quite follow, then. Are you supposed to enter your information into this file? Does it contain form fields? If so, you should use those. If not, comments are the next best thing, with actually editing the file's static contents being a distant third...

This is a bad response. What he poster needs is a way to edit the file without the annoying strikethroughs and comments, etc.

The correct answer is to choose "Edit->Text" and then just edit the fields you need to change.
