How to prevent Adobe Acrobat Pro DC from resetting forms automatically?

Acrobat is automatically resetting completed forms using MAcBook Pro running macOS Big Sur Version 11.5.2 when reopenned.  This forces one to open and edit completed forms with Preview to prevent losing the input data.
