How to prevent font changes and narrowing when converting from PDF to Word

Hello,

I am attempting to export a PDF to a Word document, but when I do all the fonts change and the text boxes seem to be narrowed, causing the text to be crowded. I am exporting initially from InDesign as a PDF, then using Acrobat to create the Word file. So, InDesign  >  Acrobat  >  Word.

How do I ensure my text boxes don't get condensed and that I maintain fonts? Is there a setting I need to change in Acrobat? or InDesign?

I am working in Windows. Thank you.
