Hi There,
I don't know whether this problem has already been identified and resolved yet or not, but here is the problem I am facing currently. Please see the attached image first:
You can see, I have placed a Single Line Text Field beside "Name" and a multi-line text field beside the "Description" point. When I place a Single line text field, it seems that there is something "Before Spacing" (a white space) on the text. If I create the fillable pdf form, this does not create a problem while viewed from Adobe Acrobat. But in Mac "Preview" app, it seems that the text of that text field ignores that white space and the text is shifted to the upper line (arrowhead) of that text field of the same pdf form. This creates an alignment problem between the Text of the Text Field and it's Point (eg: "Name" in this case). Sometimes this extra white space even change the font family (eg: Calibri) while viewed in MAC Preview while the Acrobat keeps the original for the same pdf form.
Now if I squeeze/shrink the height of Text Field like the other Text Field beside the previous one, then the MAC "Preview" app displays the text in correct alignment.
This problem exists as well for the Multiline Text Field (eg: Description) and the MAC Preview randomly changes the font family (eg: Calibri to Arial) if the extra space has not been squeezed/shrank.
So , I think that the space inside the upper border of the Text Field and the Text of a Text Field is ignored in MAC Preview but considered in Adobe Acrobat.
My question is, how to remove that extra space in between the upper border of the text field and the text when placing a Text Field on the Pdf form? I can't figure out any such option in Acrobat Pro DC.
Can anyone have any idea?

No, you can't change that distance. You can set the field as having Rich Text Formatting and then manually move the text higher, but it will not keep when you reset the form, or even just clear the field.
Also, do not open the file in Preview, ever! It corrupts PDF forms just by opening them.

I second that. You must not use Preview (or Safari) and must ensure your users follow this rule (even though it will seem a lot of trouble to them).
