Hi, I'm having trouble with fill & sign signatures on a form I created - when it goes to 'specify where to sign' for my client to add their signature - it defaults to selecting every one of the form fields for a signature. I only want it to select 1. How do I get it to deselect all those fields??

Hi Nicolef,

As I understand, you are trying to send the document for signature using the Fill & Sign tool. When you select the option "Specify Where to sign", all the fields by default get assigned to "Anyone".

If the form field is not assigned to any signer, then it will by default assign to anyone. This is an as designed behavior.

However, you can assign a signer to the form field once you reach on that page.

If you are creating PDF form in Acrobat DC, you can assign the form field to signer 1 in the application itself.

In the Prepare Form tool, go to the "More" option and select "Convert to Adobe Sign form".

Once the document converted to the Adobe Sign form, right click on the form field to open the properties window.

There you can assign the form field to the participant. Check the screenshot below:

Then you can directly send the document using the Adobe Sign button at the bottom right of the Prepare tool window or you can send the PDF using the Fill & Sign tool option.

Hope the information helps.

Let us know if you have any questions or you are referring to something else.

Regards,

Meenakshi
