How To Send By Email

Community Beginner ,
Mar 11, 2024 Mar 11, 2024

In the latest release of Acrobat, I cannot send by email.  They took that link away and replaced it supposedly with Share.  But I don't want to upload to Adobe Cloud and send a link to my clients.  I want to send a copy of the actual PDF by email.  How do I do that now in the latest release??

Go to the application's Preferences - Email Accounts and tick off the box next to "Always send files as a link".

Hi

I have the same issue. There is no option to send via email - the only option is via link.

I have unticked the box next to 'Always send files as a link' and the problem still persists. I rebooted the computer in case that was what was needed and still no help.

I need to be attaching the PDFs to emails and this has taken hours, yet still not fixed!!!

In that case you can use this free tool I've developed that adds a new menu item to the application that will attach the current file to a new email: http://try67.blogspot.com/2018/10/acrobat-reader-2019-quick-file-send.html

Let me be even more clear.  This works perfectly on Adobe Acrobat 24.005.20320 and the instructions were precise and simple to follow.  Helpful note:  Because there was no subfolder called "JavaScripts,"  I used the second method in the instructions of right-clicking on the app, show package contents, resources, and then putting the script in the JavaScript folder.  I was seriously bummed when I updated Acrobat and found that the Send Email option was no longer there and the option within "Share" didn't work (I would click "Next" and nothing would happen).  Now everything is as it should be, a one-click option!  Thanks again for providing a wonderful solution to an aggravating problem!
