How to update standalone Acrobat XI Pro 32 bit to 64 bit

I have a standalone Acrobat XI Pro for 32 bit which has worked fine on a 64 bit laptop with Windows 10.

Now my work requires to use more apps and Acrobat becomes slow. Around here I read that using the 64 bit version would help.

I've been searching for it, but I only found the DC installer.

So, is there a 64 bit update or standalone download that works with the XI Pro?

There's no 64-bit version of Acrobat XI. It's an old, unsupported version. But 64-bit applications don't necessarily work faster than 32-bit ones, so I don't think that's the issue. What might be the issue is that version is not compatible with your OS. To increase the chances of it working better make sure you have all updates installed (up to 11.0.23) and run it in Compatibility Mode with an earlier OS, like Windows 7.

Updates are available here:
ftp://ftp.adobe.com/pub/adobe/acrobat/win/11.x/
You must use a dedicated FTP client to open the link, it won't work in most browsers.

I'll try that, nonetheless, consider what I described.

It worked fine, but as more apps are open, say, Chrome, Teams, Outlook, Word, Acrobat becomes slower and, sometimes, there's some flashing on the screen. The flashing occurs only when Acrobat is used along with a few other apps.

Alright, made the adjustment and, for now, seems to be working more smoothly.

Thanks.
