How to vertically align text in interactive PDF

I've created an interactive PDF in InDesign 2023 and exported it as an interactive PDF in the most current version of Acrobat. The text is vertically centered in the field. Apparently I can't do it in InDesign and I have to align the text in Acrobat, but there's no way to grab the text field. I'm fairly new to Interactive forms in ID/Acrobat.
I've Googled this and it's making me crazy. Can anyone tell me how to vertically align it to the top of the field?

Vertical alignment is automatic in interactive text fields. But there are two choices. If the field is set as "multiline" text aligns to the top, otherwise it is centered. At least in Acrobat this is the case, and they set the standard. Since there is no specification on this issue, each PDF viewer can do it differently.
This usually isn't an issue because single line fields are short enought that the text takes up most of the vertical space. Why is your field so tall that it's an issue?
Use the Acrobat JavaScript Reference early and often

The problem is that when there is a form designed where the text string next to the form field (the label) is aligned to the bottom of a box next to the form field, the form field's text box entry appears higher than the label text, which is asthetically unpleasing to the viewer, and can take a toll long term for people working with many of the forms with the same issue across multiple sections of a document and many documents. It also look very unprofessional and gives a bad first impressio. I don't know why the programmers at Adobe can't add vertical alignment to the text fields???

This has been a very frustrating thing for me as well. I make teacher forms, so I often want things to be flexible given how differently each teacher may use them. It's a big barrier that I can have a multi-line textbox be centered vertically and horizontally. It just donesn't look appealing for a buyer to have a bunch of blank space below the text on things for students. I really wish they would fix this, becuase I end up having to use different programs to create the resources.
