I am using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC 2018.011.20040. I created a text box, entered the text, and resized the text box to cover the existing text. I used a white background with no borders.
The text is in the upper center of the text box. I want the text to be in the bottom of the text box, centered. Centering the text is not a problem. I did that. I cannot find anything anywhere that explains how to move the text vertically to the bottom of the text box.
I need the text box to be as large as it is so it covers an area that I want to not be visible.
I created two text boxes, one above the other. The bottom text box contains the text I want to display on a specific line. The top, empty text box covers the scribbling that I want to hide. There has to be a better way.
I also did not find any way to make a text box multiline. In earlier versions this option was in the properties dialogue. Where is it in this version? The properties dialogue I see only allows me to change borders, opacity, fill color, and view review history. No other options are available. The text box properties is not much better. Again, I can change the fill color, border color and appearance, opacity. The more menu in the text box properties brings me to the properties dialogue.
This purportedly newer and better version is quite a step backward relative to usability, in by opinion. Too may clicks to do simple tasks and options are placed in places that are counterintuitive. Bad software design. Is it time to find an alternative?
I appreciate any help. Thank you.

Looks like that you use comment text boxes.

I did use comment text boxes. Is there a better way to insert text boxes?
I tried using the text tool in the edit menu, but those text boxes were not any better relative to editing and configuring.
Thanks.
