HP 8028e scanner not recognized

I re-installed my HP 8028e siftware printer and it now appears on teh drop-down list of scanners. However, when I select it, the Save button is grayed out.  I ca't save it so Acrobat will recognize the scanner.  Any ideas?

@pdefranco my folks had the same problem with a deskJet. They had the free version of Reader. So, what we did was tried to scan from the printer and save it the computer to see if it was the printer or not. It scanned properly and save to a memory stick. 

Next, I checked to see if they had the latest Acrobat, and they did. Great! 
I had uninstalled Acrobat and re-install it....and guess what it worked after doing all that! Weird!

I contacted HP support and they re-installed the printer software online.  That worked but while Acrobat now recognized my scanner I couldn't select it until I unchecked and then re-checked a box in the window, For some reason, the Save button was now active and I was able to choose the scanner and it works from Acrobat
