I cannot fill a rectangle or polygon with colour

Fill colour box will not let me click on it and uncheck it. 

 

Can anyone help? Thanks!

Does it work when you try using the color picker? That's the colored dot inthe toolbar. If it's not in your toolbar already, you'll need to open the Comments pane to add it.

You can also add it to your Qucik Tools so it'll be in your toolbar all the time.

It is not a fillable annoation, because it is not a closed path. Try using the "Polygon" tool.
