Hi Daniel,

Thanks for sharing the screenshot of the error.

As explained above, the error message is received when trying to add text to the document. We assume it could be a document-specific issue as there might be some restrictions.

You may please check the following:

1- Check if that document is secured or has some editing restriction. Open PDF>right click> Document Properties> Security> Check document restriction summary

2- If it isn't a secured file, then check with a different PDF and see if the same thing happens.

3- Try using a different commenting tool and see if that works.

Thanks,

Akanchha

Thanks for the quick reply.

1- It does the same on all PDF files including the ones that I did add comments using Acrobat Reader. As soon as select the comment mode and move the mouse over the area of the file I keep havinf the internal error message. 2-

I have reinstalled ACROBAT DC PRO and ended up with the same behaviour.

3- The PDF files have no restriction

Thanks for trying the suggested steps.

Would you mind sharing any sample PDF with us? We'd like to test the same at our end.

You can upload the file on Document Cloud web and share the link with us here.

I have the same behaviour with all PDF files. It sometimes works, but I would say that 90% of the time when I move the cursor over the document area, I get the internal error.
