I have the paid version of Acrobat. There are other things on my laptop - Adobe Acrobat distiller, Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe offers. Should I uninstall them? I open Adobe and then open a document. When I try to edit it, I receive a subscription offer. I just want to edit a few tiny words in this document.

@Marilyn32267330k71q the chances are you might have a trial version of Acrobat or a different Adobe product that might be interfering with your paid Acrobat installation. When you open a PDF, your system might be defaulting to the free "Reader" or trial version of Acrobat, which then prompts for a subscription when you try to use premium features like editing.
Download the Adobe Cleaner, the official tool from the Adobe website. Don't use any third party website for this—straight fro Adobe! Follow the instructions carefully. It often gives you options to clean up specific apps or all Adobe-related files. By using the Cleaner Tool, you're essentially clearing out any old or conflicting data or those from trial versions that might be confusing your system about your valid Adobe Acrobat license, allowing your paid version to function as intended. Adobe Creative Cloud is essential for managing your paid Adobe software, so you definitely don't want to uninstall that unless you're doing a complete, fresh reinstall after using the cleaner tool.
Uninstalling "Adobe offers" is generally safe as it's likely just marketing material.
