I have an issue with FONTs converting to (tmp font) from one customer

We have a customer we do service calls and have to fill out their forms.    The service tech fills it out and then sends them to me via pdf.     Usually I can open them fine, but if I have viewed multiple pdfs (invoice copies, etc) from others....it changes the font on these to unreadable.    It must be one of my other vendor invoices that is causing the issues - but I have no idea how to figure it out.

See below for the issue.

When I try and edit to view the font...it says it is     Z@R7037.tmp  size 9.72

Others can open it just fine.     If I sign out and log back in (not restart)...I can view it fine.   I thought it was computer, but I just changed computers and am using a new upgraded version of Adobe Acrobat.

Has anyone seen this?     Am I missing a font or something?     I realy thought I was done with this problem.   Arghhhhh

Are you just opening one PDF file and that is what you get, or are you trying to combine multiple files into one large file? If it's the latter, then take a look at this: http://khkonsulting.com/2015/02/missing-characters-merging-inserting-pdf-files-potential-workaround/ If it's not this issue, then there is a good chance that you are still dealing with a font issue, just a different one.

Can you open the files if they are not filled in by your service tech?

Sorry, just opening one pdf.  I posted both pages so you could see.  I thought if i posted the pdf, you might not see it.

Its a program on his phone....no, he has to do it.    I can see them if I open all of theirs first in the morning.    Or if I have not opened a lot from others during the day.     And again...I can sign out and sign back in and see them just fine.     Its just I have to close everything I am in to sign out and back in....so its a pain in the rear.

Thanks for the clarification. Do you know what application is used on the phone to fill in the form? When it comes to mobile PDF viewers, there are big differences in quality. If you have any control over this, find out what it is that is used, and then recommend to use a better/different appliation. The default PDF viewer on mobile devices is usually not the best option. Depending on the form, I would either use Adobe's Reader for mobile devices, or when on an iPhone, Readdle's PDF Expert (which is unfortunately not free).

Having said that, one thing that should never happen is that one document that was open in Acrobat or Reader will have an effect on a document that gets opened at a later time. I say "should never happen", but unfortunately, bugs do happen. I have however never seen this behavior.

No, I honestly dont think its the guys at all.  Either the company has a strange font on their documents and after I view other vendor pdfs....its not compatible.    Maybe there is a better font atabase out there that I can download.   Like I said...its a brand new version and I was hoping it would correct a bad font I may have had before.

Thank you for trying.
