Open Acrobat, open a PDF, and press Ctrl + Shift + 7 (Windows operating system).

Does the keystroke shortcut open it?  When you type "Prepare" in the tools search, does it come up?"  You might to click the hamburger menu and select "Disable new Acrobat".
