When I go through the process to request a signature for a document I keep getting an error message 'File Upload Failed Error 403.

This has only just started happening and the documents have worked previously.

Any ideas please?

Hi there

We hope you are doing well. Thanks for reaching out. We are sorry for the trouble you are experiencing.

This error usually means the request reached Adobe’s servers, but permission was denied. This can happen for a few reasons:

1. Permissions or Access Problems

File location – If the file is on a shared drive or cloud service (like OneDrive), check that you have full access and the file is fully synced.

Network restrictions – Firewalls or network rules might block the connection to Adobe’s servers.

2. File-Related Issues

Unsupported file type – Ensure the file is in a supported format and not password-protected.

Corrupted file – Try opening and resaving the file or creating a fresh copy.

Cloud sync issues – If stored online, make sure it’s available offline before uploading.

3. Software or System Issues

Update software – Install the latest version of Acrobat/Adobe Sign.

You may also try to request signatures online here https://adobe.ly/3Hxi6YU and try saving the PDF locally on your computer, then upload it directly. If the issue continues, test with another PDF to see if it’s file-specific or account-related.

Let us know how it goes.
