There must be a way to do this - surely Adobe doesn't only limit editable text fields to 90, 180, 270 and 0 degrees?

I've tried using the text field properties but the above four angles are my only options...

Why are you so sure? Can a PDF page be rotated by 45 degrees? Can a link object? Can FreeText annotations?

No. So why should a field be?

Such a useful response, thank you.

I would expect Adobe to allow free rotation fields, and for that matter free rotation pages and objects.

Anyone else have any real solutions?

There are no "solutions". It's technically impossible to do it, and probably will never be, whether you like to hear it or not.

Sounds like my form will need to stay in Excel where I can use a 45 angle. Too bad because I was hoping to create an Adobe Form.
