I'm creating a form where people can choose option A or option B. However, if option A is chosen then option B cannot be chosen (and vice versa). Also, if option A is chosen, there are several other sub-options that can be selected as well. If option B is chosen, these sub-options can't be selected.

i.e.: If they choose option A, they cannot choose option B but they can choose options C and/or D and/or E and/or F and/or G etc. If they choose option B, they cannot choose option A or any other option.

How do I do this? Please keep answers as simple as possible! Thank you.

First, if you want mutually exclusive selections, then use either a Radiobutton group or a dropdown list, or give your checkboxes the same name and different export values. Both provide the user with a set of selections of which they can only choose one.

You can read more about this in Radiobuttons and checkboxes here:

Sub-options are more complex and usually require scripting.

Thats the end of the simple answers. It gets more complex and requires developing some skills beyond this point.
