iFilter did not find PDF with embedded Files

If we embed Files in a PDF document, the iFilter did not find this document. The same document was found before without the embeded File. Is there a possibility to find such pdf Files.

We use PDF documents for our Invoices according the ZugFERD Standard. This documents embed an XML document with the Invoice Data. Unfortunately iFilter did not find this documents.

This filter does not extract text from XML files.

We did not want the content of the XML Files. The ifilter did not find the content of the PDF File, when a XML File is embeded. The iFilter find the same PDF File without the embeded XML File.

Looks like that the filter doesn't like attachments.

Thats right. And this is a big problem for Invoices with ZugFERD Standard. All this PDF Documents have attached XML Files.

I doubt you can solve your issues with iFilter alone. It is actually EOL so far as I know, so nothing will change.

Does you use Advanced Search in Adobe Acrobat?

We use iFilter only for Indexing the Pdf Documents to find the Content with Explorer or Windows Search. I do not know the Advanced Search in Adobe Acrobat. What can we do with this Feature ??
