Good Morning,
I have Adobe Acrobat PRO DC (64-bit) 22.1.20169.0 version installed on my MSI laptop with Windows 10.

I am trying to compare two PDF files by using the Tools/compare files/compare text only.
When I select the two PDF files to compare and click the "compare" button, the Adobe Acrobat program
quits unexpectedly and I don't know why. I've already tried uninstalling and reinstalling Adobe Acrobat
and restarting my laptop, but it doesn't work. What should I do?. Thanks.

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out, and sorry about the trouble.

Could you please confirm if the issue occurs when comparing files from a particular folder?

Did you try comparing any files that are saved locally on the machine to check if it happens with other PDFs too?

Try the troubleshooting steps suggested in the following help document: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-crashes-on-windows-os.html

Check if that helps.

Thanks,

Meenakshi

Please let us know if it happens with any PDF you try to compare.

Try to reinstall the application once. Remove the Acrobat and run the cleaner tool (https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html).

Reboot the machine and reinstall the application from this page: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-dc-downloads.html.

Check if that helps.

If the issue persists, we may need logs for further ivestigation.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
