In a menu, selecting a command using Alt+[underscored letter] doesn't work

In Acrobat Pro DC, I need to add notes to selected text. After selecting the text, I right-click, and the menu has an "Add Note to Text" command. I'd like to use a key combination to select that command so I can use the combination to build a macro. Normally, holding down the Alt key while the menu is displayed and typing n (or N?) should carry out the command.

But it's not working for me; the menu just closes and I get Window's regular "invalid" tone.

I'm using Windows 11 and the latest version of Acrobat Pro DC. Am I using the correct method?

You don't need to hold down Alt. In fact, that would close the menu. Just type the letter directly (case doesn't matter).
