Information entered in a form is automatically updated with incorrect data.

I am using Acrobat Pro to fill in a form from a third party.  The form has several fields called "Family Name" to enter information for different people. Whenever I type a new "family name" all other "family names" get automatically updated. How do I make my input stick in each field and not uptade. Thanks.

Use unique names for the form fields.

Fields with the same name will get the same content.

Thanks for the answer but is there a way to as a user of the form, to turn off the auto fill.  I doubt the developer made it a requirement since the form is clearly intented to enter different first names, middle names and last names in each field.

Thanks

Unfortunately that is not an option, thanks.

Will do, Adobe should look into making it more user friedly.  Otherwise not worth paying for Pro version.

There's nothing Adobe can do about it. It's a part of the PDF specification that fields with the same name have the same value. It's up to the form's creator to set them up correctly.

Those are the rules of PDF forms. The person designing the form has to follow the rules. (There is a separate thing called auto-fill, that isn't it).  If you have Acrobat Pro, you can change the field names.
