inserting a checkmark or x

I am creating a form(check list).   I am wanting to insert a check: if things are good or a 'X': if there are problems..

How can I set the checkbox to take a checkmark and/or 'X'?

The display of the check box is controlled with the field.style property.  Just set it based on your conditions.
