What is the proper way to install an older licensed version of Acrobat Pro and maintain the latest version of the "free" Acrobat DC Reader on a PC.  Will installing one after another remove the previous instance of a product?  Thanks.

They will not remove each other, but it is not recommended or tested.

This is exactly my question, except now (2022) installation detects if there is another version of Acrobat, and terminates installation the older licenced Acrobat Pro or removes it to continue with the installation of the new, apparently "more functional" free Acrobat DC. I wonder if  there is a way to keep both, or should I resort to an older version of Acrobat reader?

It's no longer intended to be possible to install both.

That I get, I just don't quite understand why.
So, I guess I just have to try with an older version of reader + my licenced acrobat pro.

No, you can't.

Adobe forced me to discover and use Foxit Reader and I don't regret it.
