Hi
My client wants a digital selfie frame, that they can email to client, who can then add their photo and send back.
Now, I can create a PDF with an editable image area to add a photo, which is great, but this is on my desktop top computer using Acrobat Pro DC.
Will this work for people who use Acrobat reader, on computers or phones? I can't get it work on my phone!
Any advice?
Thanks
Mark

Add on question (or alternative)
If I have created an editable PDF, with just an image box, is there a way I can distribute it so people can edit it on any device?
Maybe it is sat online somewhere and they access it online rather than download and using the software they have, which doesnt allow editing?

Hi,
This is probably something that would be hard to do with a PDF, as the capabilities of the PDF viewers change, even the Adobe viewers have differences.
It would probably be easier to use and HTML form for the uploading, as that uses functionality that all devices have, you could then have this populate a PDF if that is required using some server side technology (PDF Library), although if this is just a mechanism for getting the pictures you wouldn't need that.

Hi
Thanks. Yes, I'm thinking that I am trying too hard to solve this problem.
Maybe I need a more general forum to see how others would solve this problem

Why isn't it easier to send a simple email to customers asking them to send their photo back?
Why add a step in PDF?

That's what we're probably going to do.
Just wondered if it was possible, as I'm passing the job on to the client, so wondering if it could all be done in one go!

When you think of interactive PDF or PDF form you should keep this in mind (copy-paste this URL in Google Translate):

This is not a limitation of the PDF format, it is a limitation of the "default" PDF reader softwares that does not fully support all PDF specifications.
