Interactive images

Hello.  I am converting a pre-existing PDF form to a fillable form with Adobe.  The form has some images that I need the end user to be able to click on to note where on the picture an injury is.  I have not been able to figure this out.  Is it possible to do this?  Thank you.

Hope you are doing well and thanks for reaching out.

At the moment, Adobe Acrobat’s form tools don’t support clicking directly on an image to mark points or indicate specific locations. Form fields like checkboxes, radio buttons, and text fields can only be placed on top of the PDF—not interacted with directly as hotspots on the image itself.

Here are a few workaround options you can try:

1️. Add checkboxes or radio buttons over the image - position small form fields at various points on the image to represent different injury locations. Users can then click on those. For more information, please check the help page https://adobe.ly/4iFMZZi 

2️. Allow users to leave comments or draw
Enable commenting tools so users can place shapes or drawing marks on the image as described here https://adobe.ly/4pVWy90 

Also go to File > Properties > Security and Ensure commenting is allowed.
