Interactive PDF not responding

New Here ,
Jan 31, 2023 Jan 31, 2023

As I have for years now: I created a document in Indesign, added interactive boxes, then exported the file as Interactive PDF.

When the PDF is displayed, most of my pages are wiped out.

I duplicated the original Indesign file and redid a few interactive boxes. The same thing keeps happening. The PDF [without interactive] is fine. All pages are there.

Hi @dionne12

Thanks for reporting this to us.

Is there any specific file that has been causing trouble after exporting to PDF or all the interactive files are resulting in the same?

What version of Acrobat you are viewing the PDF files?

Open Acrobat>help>About Acrobat (Win)

and click on Adobe Acrobat>About Adobe Acrobat (Mac)

Try changing the following preferences settings and see if that helps:

Navigate to Acrobat>Edit>Preferences>Security (Enhanced)>disable "Protected View" and "Enhanced Security">OK>close and reopen Acrobat

: these changes areNote only for testing purposes. Once tested, please change it back to the previous setting.

Can you share the PDF file for us to check on our end?

Thanks,

Akanchha

@AkanchhaS

Thank you for getting back. I decided to close the file and wait. Indesign can get glitchy once and a while so I just saved and closed the program. I accessed the file later on and all the work was there in the INDD file and exported interactive PDF. Very frustrating but very glad I don't have to recreate the file. I am attaching the Acrobat version I am currently using.

LATEST

Thanks for confirming, though @dionne12

So it looks like, for now, the file is showing content fine after closing and reopening the application.

Your Acrobat version is the latest. If you continue to experience the same issue, then let us know and share both the files ID and .pdf to check the same at our end.

You can upload the file on Document Cloud web https://acrobat.adobe.com/link/home/ and share the link with us here.
