Hi @Brady37690233t787

Hope you are doing well.

If you have forgotten the password, you cannot delete the ID from preferences. When you click Remove ID, the Acrobat Security dialog box shows the complete location of the digital ID file. Go to the location, delete the file, and then relaunch Acrobat. The ID is removed from the list.

To delete extra digital IDs from Adobe without a password, you can try the following steps:

  1. Open Adobe Acrobat: Launch Adobe Acrobat on your computer.

  2. Navigate to the Security Settings:

    • Go to Edit in the top menu.
    • Select Preferences from the dropdown menu.
    • In the Preferences window, click on Signature on the left side.
    • Click on the More button under Identities and Trusted Certificates.
  3. Remove Digital IDs:

    • In the Digital ID and trusted certificates setting window, you should see a list of your digital IDs.
    • Select the digital ID you want to remove.
    • Click on Remove ID. If it asks for a password, you may not be able to delete it without knowing the password.
  4. Manual Deletion:

    • If you cannot remove the digital ID through Adobe Acrobat, you may need to delete the file directly from your computer.
    • The digital ID files are usually stored in a specific directory on your computer. The default locations are:
      • Windows:
      • Mac:
      • Locate the .pfx or .p12  files in this directory and delete them.
  5. Restart Adobe Acrobat:

    • After deleting the files, restart Adobe Acrobat to ensure the digital IDs are removed from the list.
