Is there a way to format the tabs in an if/then scenario?

Hello!

I am hoping you can help me.  I am wondering if there is a way to format a fillable .pdf document so that one would only tab in to a subgroup if that answer was selected?

For example in the following screen shot, under the category Ethnicity, the user would only tab into the sub-category Asian if he chose Asian as his answer.  If he chose African American it would tab 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Instead of 1. 2. 3. 3i. 4. 5. 6. 6i. 7

In the second screenshot I have displayed how I currently have the tabs laid out (on the right hand side).
