Good day everyone,

Some pdfs are secured or has certificates. Those files must be downloaded on a local computer in the first place, then being opened up by an Adobe Acrobat reader desktop version. ( otherwise, you'll see the attached screenshot error message)

For instance check this form out:

https://www.canada.ca/content/dam/ircc/migration/ircc/english/pdf/kits/forms/imm5476e.pdf

I am looking for a solution, which allows us to show the content of these forms on a web page and let our clients fill them online.

I think there should be an API solution from Acrobat and Adobe to enable developers to do such things. However, I could not find anything or connect to the right team.

Any suggestion?

Thank you,

This messages indicates, that the PDF in question is an interactive forms (aka XFA form). Such kind of form is totally different from a regular PDF can only be viewed and filled by Adobe Acrobat or Reader on desktop.

Take a look at Adobe AEM Forms. It allows you to collect the data for that form interctively and then push the data into the PDF and create a static version for download or storage.
