Is this possible?: Fillable PDF in email that can be saved and sent

New Here ,
Dec 12, 2021 Dec 12, 2021

If possible, how would I create a fillable PDF form to attach or make inline within a typical email message - that, again, could be filled out by a recipient, saved (ideally via a button in the PDF form), and either auto-replied back to the sender (or easily replied back to the sender with the saved attachment).

(And could the recipient do this with just a native PDF reader client installed?)

Any help/guidance is greatly appreciated!

- Bryan

Hi Bryan!

Thank you for reaching out and sorry about the delay in response.

As you wish to create a PDF form that can be auto received by the sender, it is possible by creating a submit button in the form. You can create a submit button in the PD using the steps suggested under the title "Add a submit button" in the following help document: https://helpx.adobe.com/uk/acrobat/using/setting-action-buttons-pdf-forms.html using the Acrobat application.

Then you may attach that PDF either in the email or create a link to the PDF and paste that link to the PDF form in the email.

Either way, the receiver can view and fill the form, and clicking the submit button will send back the filled form to the sender.

You may also use the Adobe Sign feature in Acrobat to send the PDF form. To know how it works, please refer to the following help page: https://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/using/send-for-signature.html

Hope the information helps.

Let us know if you are looking for some other workflow.

Thanks,

Meenakshi
