Having a new issue with Adding Text to a PDF.
I am able to edit existing text blocks by clicking on the Edit tool, but when I hit the Add Text tool to make a new text block, the cursor becomes what looks like a watch/clock, and won't let me add anything.
Tried creating a new PDF - problem persists, does not appear to be tied to a particular file.
Issue quite new - was able to add text regularly only a few weeks ago.
Any help appreciated!
Using Acrobat Version 2023.001.20143 with MacOS Catalina 10.15.7.

Thanks for reaching out.
What happens when you try to add text? Do you get any error messages? If yes, please share the screenshot of the same for a better understanding.
Please try to reset the Acrobat preferences as described here https://community.adobe.com/t5/acrobat-discussions/how-to-reset-acrobat-preference-settings-to-defau...
You may also try to create a new test user profile with full admin rights or enable the root account in MAC and try using the application there and check.
If it still doesn't work, please remove the application using the Acrobat cleaner tool https://www.adobe.com/devnet-docs/acrobatetk/tools/Labs/cleaner.html , reboot the computer once, and reinstall the application using the direct link

Let us know how it goes.
