Issue combining files in Acrobat DC

when using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC to combine files into one PDF by combining, it fails to make a PDF

Please confirm the exact error that you get when trying to combine files.

Also, please share a screenshot of what you see when combining the files.

Has anyone answered this question? I am unable to merge office 2010 word files to PDF. I have the following installed:

Adobe Acrobat Pro DC V.         2015.006.30033

Office 2010 suite - Word V.      14.0.7181.5000 (32 bit)

Windows 7 64bit Enterprise SP1

I have verified the registry keys are present.

I have checked the permissions and have full control of the files.

I have checked the process and tried several different ways.

     The files are local on my PC and are not in use or open.

We did recently install Skype for Business, can't help but wonder if had something to do with it, but can't find any proof.

I have issued a repair on the Office 2010 product.
