I have created an ADOBE fillable form. At the end I removed the red lines so the form looks clean. When i open in reader though, the lines are still there and the form looks messy. Can someone suggest a fix for this.
thanks

Disable Fields Highlighting to remove those lines and return to the file's original design.

Correct. This is a setting of the application. However, it is possible to embed a script in your file to disable it when the file is opened, but it will also affect all other files the user opens, so it's not a good idea to do it without at least notifying the user.

so there will be multiple users for this form as it is for all the LTCF in our province.

When you disable this in the preferences it doesn't change the document.

Hi Catherine
Hope you are doing well and sorry for the trouble.
Would you mind sharing the steps you did to create the PDF form and to remove the red lines from it? Also,is this an issue with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs? Please try with a different PDF file and check.
Also, please share the PDF file in question with us so that we can check it at our end.
Make sure you have the recent version of the Acrobat/Reader DC 22.1.20117 (Win), 20112 (Mac) installed. Go to help > Check for updates and reboot the computer once.
We are here to help, just need more information.
Regards
