Issue with Adobe Acrobat Distiller – missing standard ICC profiles causing AutoCAD to freeze

New Here ,
Sep 01, 2025 Sep 01, 2025

Hello,
I am experiencing an issue with Adobe Acrobat Distiller. While working in CAD, the following error message appears automatically:

"Distiller cannot find its standard ICC profiles. Please reinstall Adobe Acrobat to fix this problem."

When this happens, CAD freezes completely, and I am forced to close it, losing all the work I’ve done.
I have already uninstalled and reinstalled Adobe Acrobat several times, but the error still persists.

Could you please help me resolve this issue?

Hi @andrea_8139

Thanks for reaching out, and sorry for the troubled experience.

You may try downloading the ICC Profile from here: https://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/iccprofiles/iccprofiles_win.html. Download the package and install. Let us know how it works.

If the ICC profile installation doesn't help, could you please help us with the following details:

  1. Acrobat version installed:  https://adobe.ly/3PQQ7nE
  2. OS name and version.
  3. Diagnostic logs:

    To collect the logs:

    1. Download and run the Diagnostics Utility from:  https://adobe.ly/4g1Vj4p
    2. Click on Start Diagnostics. Ensure advanced logging is checked.
    3. Launch Acrobat, reproduce the issue with your file.
    4. Once done, click Stop Monitoring.
    5. Copy the Log ID and share it with us.

We would also require memory dump logs: https://adobe.ly/45IC3Fx

  • Upload logs to any Cloud Drive(One Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, etc)

Note: Follow the section "Collecting logs when Acrobat/Reader hangs or freezes", and then "Using Windows task manager to capture Acrobat/Reader dump files", even though it may confuse you with the word hang freeze.

Will be waiting for your response.
