Hello,

This issue with Adobe Acrobat 2020 repeatedly asking for sign-in and failing to reopen after signing in could be related to several factors, including license activation conflicts, installation issues, or problems with Adobe's authentication services. Here are some steps to resolve it:

1. Check System Requirements
Ensure that your system meets the minimum requirements for Adobe Acrobat 2020.

2. Update Adobe Acrobat
Launch the Adobe Application Updater or visit Adobe’s website to download the latest updates for Acrobat 2020.
Updating can resolve known bugs or authentication issues.
3. Run as Administrator
Right-click the Acrobat shortcut and select Run as Administrator.
Sometimes, permission issues can prevent proper activation or sign-in persistence.
4. Clear Adobe Credentials
Windows:
Go to Credential Manager from the Control Panel.
Look for any entries related to Adobe and remove them.
Mac:
Open the Keychain Access app.
Search for Adobe-related entries and delete them.
5. Disable Firewall/Antivirus Temporarily
Temporarily disable your firewall or antivirus software to ensure they are not blocking Adobe's activation servers.
6. Repair Installation
Open Acrobat.
Go to Help > Repair Installation and let the process complete.
7. Check Adobe Licensing and Activation
Visit Adobe Licensing Website and sign in.
Verify that your license is active and associated with your Adobe ID.

Hi it_5631,

I hope you're doing well, and we apologize for the trouble.

Please ensure that Acrobat 2020 is installed on your machine and that you’re using the correct serial number for Acrobat 2020. You can verify your serial number details through your Adobe account using this guide: Find Your Serial Number.

To resolve the issue, follow these steps:

  1. Remove the currently installed setup using the Acrobat Cleaner Tool: Acrobat Cleaner Tool.
  2. Restart your machine.
  3. Download and install Acrobat 2020 using this link: Acrobat 2020 Downloads.
  4. Activate the application using your serial number. Also, follow the onscreen instructions to login using the Adobe ID (email) associated with the license/serial number.

Please let us know how it goes.

Thanks,
Anand Sri
