I'm using LaTeX (Beamer) to create my files and Drawboard PDF to draw on them. I don't know how, but for a few weeks now, the slides with annotations with them result in Acrobat saying "There was a problem reading this document (18)". I can't even edit and try to save the document.
Other PDF applications and even Chrome work just fine:
I've attached a sample document.

Jacob, you might have a better chance of having Adobe noting and working on your issue if you post this in Adobe's www.Acrobat.UserVoice.com feature request / bug forum.

Hi Jacbz
We are sorry for the trouble. As described you are not able to view the PDF and getting the above error message.
Is this a behavior with a particular PDF file or with all the PDFs that you try to open with Adobe Acrobat/Reader DC? Please try to open a different PDF file and check.
Usually this error appears when there is something wrong with the underlying PDF structure. Please try to recreatre the PDF as follows and see if that works for you.
Open the PDF in a web browser (Chrome) > Print > Select 'Adobe PDF Printer' in the printer list > Save the file with a new name and check
Regards
Amal

This behavior happens with all files that I create in LaTeX and modify with Drawboard PDF. Other files are not affected.
It is strange how Acrobat, as the reference implementation of the PDF specification, has problems opening this file, while other applications have no issue opening it.
Printing with Adobe PDF does indeed solve the issue, but this changes the size and adds margins, on top of being a major hassle (I have lots of files). Can you check where exactly in the underlying PDF structure my sample document is faulty? I assume you get the same error with the file.
Regards,
Jacob
