Hello,
I have a PDF with multiple hyperlinks. The hyperlinks to webpages work, but the hyperlinks to files do not work for outside users. This is a public document with an application attached to it. I can open the application link on my end, but I keep getting calls from would-be applicants that the files are not opening. I tried from my laptop on an outside network. Sure enough, it will not open. How to I enable outside users to open the file links?
Thank you

Are you sending these files along with the PDF? Are they kept in the same (relative) position to the PDF as when the links were created? Is the PDF file opened using Adobe Acrobat or Reader? If the answer to any of these questions is no, then it won't work.

Hi,
Thanks for responding. The answer to all these questions is yes. The links
work fine from my own computer, but those who download the pdf from the
company website cannot open the links.
Thank you!

Are they also downloading the files the links are pointing to?
PS. Don't include your personal details in your replies. I will remove them from the previous one for you.

It is the desire that they will be able to download the files from the links, but they are currently unable to.
Thank you for the P.S.

Then the links have to be to URLs, not to local files.

How is that accomplished with a file?

You upload the file to a web-server, then use the file's URL on that server as the target of your link, using the "Go to a web-page" command.
