MacOS Sequoia - Adobe Acrobat Pro - Printing Issues

Hi There!

I was wondering if anybody else has had printing issues since updating to macOS Sequoia? I am trying to print on my PIXMA Pro-100 and need to enter the page setup dialog to select borderless printing, however, since updating under the "Format For" none of my printers show up.

I am using a Macbook Pro with Adobe Creative Cloud. My Adobe Acrobat Pro is running version 24.1

If anybody has any suggestions, I'd be happy to try them out.

Thanks!

If it helps anyone else, I just got mine to work by downloading and installing the latest Sequoia developer beta 4 release. Once the beta 4 was finished installing the printer dialogue boxes once again allow a printer to be selected.

It seems like an Adobe problem with Sequoia 15.1.1 -- Apple Preview has no issue with printing an entire multiple page PDF, while Adobe Acrobat DC stops after printing the first page.  Uninstalled the Adober software and the printer, and re-installed both and the behavior persists.  Below is the version detail for my Adobe Acrobat version.

For now -- I've set Apple Preview as my default handler for PDF files until a fix appears.

Yes, I'm having the same issues. I can print fine from my oPhone but not from my MacBook Pro, since it updated to the last Sequioa version.  And unfortunately, it's not just pdf's--it's not printing anythingl  Looks like it's going to print and then it says "stopped" and that's it. My printer is an Epson ET-3750.  I have the lates driver from Epson--doesn't work. ALld the Epson software is "up to date".  Same thing happened a while back, like at least a yr, I think, until a new driver was put out. It's a pain, but at least I can print from my phone--haven't tried the iPad. I spent 3 hr the other day trying to figure out the issues and a possible solution, and from all I read, there's nothng we can do except wait for anupdated driver. 😩

hi.. i noticed in Sequoia 15.1.1 (using proper Epson drivers.. that i RE-installed a few times to see if that was the problem) that Acrobat now launches that 'helper' app "Adobe Distiller" (it might have always done that but NOW it shows up in teh dock when you get started)  when i first started printing PDF's  after i updated to 15.1.1   and DISTILLER would get stuck halfway and not be able to print... I went to the chat.. got an agent to take over my desktop and show him what was going on.. he was very surprised.. and couldn't fix it until he downloaded a whole new version of a few files.. and we got it working.. but it is FOR CERTAIN a problem with Adobe / Apple and  CAN be fixed by Adobe  working around something APPLE did most likely.. and should be in the next iteration of either the OS or Adobe CC... cuz.. until that happens.. you might as well take a dead chicken, put it in a bag and swing it over your head and chant some voodoo and hope...   what is very weird is that printing is STILL a problem (double sided printing defaults to page 1 oriented one way.. and the back of page 1 is upside down.. no matter what settings you put for short/long binding.. ) but not lethal...  AND printing works so much better in adobe CC on my OLD 2009 iMac running OCLP version of SONONA??   faster.. accurate etc.. so.... ???? something as basic as being able to PRINT still haunts the MACos.. but teenage girls can post endless taylor swift cat video on their phones and put filters on their faces without any issues.. good job apple, man i miss steve..

Yes! Problems across the board. Print quality is horrible and I've been using the same process to create my mixed media paintings for the past decade and a half. I use glossy 11x17  photo paper i'm prior to this update. I was able to print high-quality borderless prints without issue. Now the print quality sucks, I can't get it to print without some type of border either all the way around or at Best, a very thin line on the top or bottom edge, iOS seems to be overriding me wanting Photoshop to handle all of the printing when it comes to color syncing and everything else, and I'm so sick of each of the three companies throwing the blame on the other, for the issue. Over the past two days I've used well over $150 worth of ink and that much or more in my photo transfer paper, while testing and troubleshooting to try and figure out what is going on. Adobe blames Apple, Apple blames Canin and Canon  blames both Apple and Adobe.
Does anyone know that smarter than me, who the real culprit is? Or better yet, does anyone know a way to fix this issue so I don't spend another day on the phone with one or all 3 companies wasting my time and money to resolve whoever 's issue this is ? Like I've stated above, I've done this for over 15 years without issue so I know this printer will create quality  prints using via a canon printer with adobe photoshop printer settings from an Apple MacBook Pro...

I just wish they would say whether or not this is a fixable problem because if they tell me that it's not, I can move along and find another way to create the prints. I need to do my job.

If anyone has any other suggestions about other printing options, I can use beyond printing from Adobe Photoshop using Adobe Photoshop printer settings on a MacBook Pro 14 inch with chip, please please tell!

Thanks,n advance to anyone that can shed some light or give some insight or Len me other Suggestions. I'm tired of wasting my day and I'm even more tired of wasting my money.

Very frustrating for you. I have been working around printing as the Adobe
Community doesn’t seem to be getting any answers. I am printing using
Preview if that’s of any use - not sure it if is as you have a specialised
requirement.

Cheers

LATEST

It is good to know that I am not the only one.  I have a MacBook Pro M3 (MacOS 15.3.1).  This is an issue.  I just bought an HP Laser Jet Pro 2002dw for AirPrint.  Everything went really well until one morning, Acrobat just stopped printing pdfs. However, I could still print any other files from all my other software and Preview would print pdfs. The HP Smart app even printed pdfs.  I have a Canon Pro-200 and that prints from Acrobat.  I also run Windows 11 Pro (ARM) on Parallels which shared my MacOS printers.  Acrobat Pro prints pdfs via AirPrint to my HP printer which is weird.

Last night, I uninstalled Acrobat Pro and re-installed it.  Still couldn't print pdfs as anthing other than images.

However this morning, AirPrint started to work with Acrobat Pro.  It is always a morning thing, but what had changed in the print routine? Distiller now fires up (must be from an Acrobat call as it wasn't turned on by me) and everything works for the moment.  As far as I remember, that is weird behaviour, too.

My recommendation would be to fire up Distiller and see if you can print.  This is a Kludge, but it might help.

Anyother ideas (Adobe??)?

Cheers,

Bill
