I don't know why Acrobat always opens pdf with the PAN tool but not SELECT. I tried many methods including:

set "Touch Mode: Never"
deselect the three "Make Hand tool" options

deselect "always display keyboard selection cursor".

I am using MacBook, which has no touch screen.

How to set SELECT as default??

Hi @Rui371027845l50,

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your feedback.

As you already have found, there aren't many settings to change here. You may check the similar settings being discussed here: https://adobe.ly/3BF7fJy;

It is weird that the Pen tool always appears when you open PDFs, and that shouldn't be happening.
Try uninstalling Acrobat using the Cleaner tool: https://adobe.ly/4fweVLY restart the machine and install it. Let us know if that resolves the problem.

If the issue reoccurs try screen recording and help us with the video. Also, let us know the version of Acrobat installed on the machine and the version of Mac OS.
